DVD analysis

Hi,

I have already tried several such tools on the market. They have a tendancy to take a very long time when trying to access damaged CD/DVD. They even freeze the PC because it seems that CD/DVD handling is quite sensitive.

How is it handled here with Dead Disk Doctor ?

Also, can it read CD+R/DVD-R which have not been finalized due to a write error.

I have a Lite-ON DVD burner L20A1H and a OptiArc AD 7201A. Regarding the speed, it's usually 4X for both CDRW & DVDRW when I have a problem.

Well if the pc freezes then possible you need to repair you windows, alternatively you can check the same dead disk doctor and the cds on a friends pc and follow the course.
